A Joy-Filled Competition Dance Experience for Kids Ages 4+
The Lovely Leaps Company Team is a performance-based competition team for passionate young dancers ages 4 and up. With a strong foundation in technique, teamwork, and joy, our team is built to help kids shine—on stage and in life. Designed with family in mind, our all-inclusive membership removes the stress of hidden fees, so you can focus on your dancer’s growth and happiness.

Two Team Tracks
The Junior Company Team, designed for dancers ages 4–7, is a beautiful starting point for young performers. These dancers participate in all Lovely Leaps events and one local competition, building stage presence and confidence in a gentle, age-appropriate way.
The Main Company Team, open to dancers ages 4 and up, offers leveled training for those ready to grow more deeply in their technique and performance ability. Dancers perform in multiple competitions throughout the year and take part in team bonding, specialty training, and the opportunity to join our Bonus Month in June for Nationals and advanced workshops.

We designed this program to give parents peace of mind and dancers everything they need to thrive. Our all-inclusive membership covers all essential costs related to Company Team participation.

Please note: if a Company Team dancer is also enrolled in recreational classes that perform in the recital, those costume fees are not included and would be purchased separately.
Bonus Month & Fundraising
In June, we hold a Bonus Month filled with Nationals prep, masterclasses, and specialty training. To support families, we coordinate a team-wide fundraiser throughout the season to help cover Bonus Month tuition. The goal is shared across all company team dancers, and if it isn’t fully met, families are only responsible for any remaining balance specific to their dancer. Participation in fundraising is encouraged.
What We Expect
Company Team dancers represent the heart of Lovely Leaps. They are held to a high standard, both in and out of the studio. We expect regular attendance, respectful behavior, and a commitment to kindness, effort, and teamwork. Our dress code emphasizes modesty and professionalism, and parents are asked to remain outside of class unless invited in.
We believe in building strong leaders, and our Company dancers rise to that calling with joy and grace.
Audition & Season Timeline
Auditions for the 2025–2026 season will be held in June, and the season runs from July through May, with the Bonus Month offered in June. Spaces are limited to ensure each dancer receives the focused training and attention they deserve.

FAQs
What age is eligible to join the team?
Dancers must be at least 4 years old by the start of the season (July) to join the Company Team. We have both a Junior Team (ages 4–7) and a Main Team (ages 4+), so dancers of various levels and ages can find the right fit.
What if my dancer is new to competition?
No problem at all! We welcome dancers who are just beginning their competitive journey. Our instructors provide age-appropriate training, and our Junior Team is specifically designed for first-time competitors to build confidence and stage presence in a supportive environment.
How many competitions do we attend?
Junior Team dancers participate in one local competition, while Main Team dancers attend 3 regional competitions throughout the season. The exact number of competitions may vary by because both the Junior Team and Main Team may be invited to dance in a National Competition
What’s the time commitment like?
Dancers attend Company Team classes (estimated 2) and recreational classes (8) weekly, all included in the total 10 weekly classes per family included in the membership. As we get closer to competitions or performances, there may be additional weekend rehearsals scheduled in advance.
Are recital fees included?
Yes! Recital performance fees are included in your Company Team membership. This means your dancer can perform their Company Team routines in the recital without additional entry fees. Recreational dance costumes are optional with an additional cost.
What costumes are covered?
Company Team membership includes the costumes for all Company Team dances, including those performed in the recital. However, if your dancer is enrolled in recreational classes that perform in the recital, those recital costumes are not included and must be purchased separately.
What is Bonus Month?
Bonus Month takes place in June and includes extra training, choreography, and optional participation in Nationals or special workshops. It’s a powerful way to end the season strong and deepen your dancer’s growth. Families fundraise throughout the season toward the cost of Bonus Month, and any remaining balance is your responsibility if the team-wide goal isn’t met.
Is there a sibling discount?
Yes! We offer a 25% discount for siblings joining the Company Team. This discount applies to the base membership and does not apply to Bonus Month, solos, duets, or trios.
Are solos/duets/trios included?
Solos, duets, and trios are not included in the base Company Team membership. These opportunities are optionaland by instructor approval and involve additional coaching, choreography, and costume costs, billed separately.
Do parents need prior dance experience to support their dancer on the team?
Not at all! You don’t need any dance background to be an amazing support system for your child. We provide all the guidance and communication you need—from what to bring on competition day to how to help your dancer prepare. Our team is here to walk alongside you every step of the way.
